Community Foundation Awards Scholarships to Local Students

WASHINGTON, Kan.— The Washington County Community Foundation has awarded over $6,000 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year. The Columbus, Vera, and Morris Jones Memorial Scholarship and the M.C. Hess and Margaret Hess Boyle Educational Fund for Washington County Scholarship. These scholarships are for seniors graduating or graduates from Washington County.
- Makenna Elliott of Morrowville, KS, and William Svanda and Grayson Votipka, both of Washington, KS, are recipients of the Columbus, Vera, and Morris Jones Memorial Scholarship.
- McKenzie Baker and Makenna Elliot of Morrowville, KS, and Grace Baxter of Haddam, KS, are recipients of the M.C. Hess and Margaret Hess Boyle Educational Fund for Washington County Scholarship.
