Community Foundation Preparing for December Match Month
WASHINGTON, Kan.— The Washington County Community Foundation is preparing for its December Match Month Event. This matching event is made possible by the Patterson Family Foundation. This year more funds are eligible than ever before, including several new funds, and the match goal is $100,000! We are off to a great start with leading donors, FNB Washington and Herrs Machine Hydrostatics, pledging to give a minimum of 1,000 in December for our Match Month.
The following funds will be considered eligible for the match (*denotes new fund):
- Jerry Scheve Memorial Fund*
- Linn Community Nursing Home Fund
- The Farmers Cooperative Elevator Association Trust*
- Jerry Scheve Memorial Scholarship*
- Clifton Community Fund
- Haddam Community Fund*
- Hanover Community Fund
- Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Washington County
- Keenan Jellison-Knock
- Morrowville Community Fund*
- Palmer Community Fund
- Washington City Enhancement Fund*
- Friends of Hollenberg Station Fund
- KSDS Assistance Dogs Fund
- Twin Valley Developmental Services, Inc. Fund
- Washington County Hospital Foundation Fund
- Washington Library Fund
- Clifton Park Improvement Fund
- Columbus, Vera & Morris Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund
- C. Hess and Margaret Hess Boyle Educational Fund for Washington County
- Washington County Opportunity Fund
- Washington County Administrative Fund
Do you see a fund that you want to know more about or have an idea for a new fund? Please don’t hesitate to reach out to a Washington County Community Foundation Board Member. The deadline to establish new funds and have it included for the December Match Month is November 12th. Per Patterson Family Foundation match guidelines, 50% of the match will be distributed proportionally among all eligible funds receiving donations and 50% will support the Washington County Opportunity Fund, the unrestricted grant fund which supports projects throughout the county. No one fund may receive more than 50% of the total match pool.
