Washington County Community Foundation awards over $5,000 in fall grants
During its fall grant cycle, the Washington County Community Foundation awarded over $5,000 to two projects throughout Washington County. The following organizations received funding:
- Trinity Lutheran Church, $1,750 to improve the current steps, sidewalk and curb and make it
ADA accessible. - Harvesters – The Community Food Network, $3,263 to purchase food to help feed families in
Washington County.
This round of grants was made possible by the community foundation’s Kansas Health Foundation Fund,
which supports the protection and promotion of the health and well-being of individuals and their
communities through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments; Washington
County Opportunity Fund, which supports the quality of life for Washington County.
