Washington County Community Foundation Match Month Opportunity

Washington County Community Foundation Match Month Opportunity

WASHINGTON, Kan.— The Washington County Community Foundation needs your help reaching their match month goal. This week captures Giving Tuesday on December 3rd and this month is our second chance match month to reach our goal of $70,000. December 3rd through December 31st, every $1 donated to any fund at the Washington County Community Foundation, excluding donor advised funds, will be matched $1 to $1 from the Patterson Family Foundation up to $45,650! If you don’t have a preference of what fund to make a donation to, a donation to the Washington County Opportunity Fund provides the funds for grant making throughout all communities within Washington County.

To give an example of what your donation can do, here are a few places where grant dollars have gone: projects and improvements of flag poles and landscaping at KSDS in Washington, a commercial range for the Cougars Den in Morrowville, Summer reading program books and snacks at the Public Library in Clifton, aid toward the Sensory and Memory Garden for the Linn Nursing Home, weights for the River Valley Extension exercise classes, exterior book returns for the Public Library in Hanover, a food prep cooler for the Cafe in Haddam, and several more grants for a total of $24,153.64 reinvested into Washington County.

If the Washington County Community Foundation meets the goal of $70,000, our community will receive a total of $140,000 to support community grants and projects. Please consider donating to help us raise the remaining amount needed to reach our match goal!

We would also like to take the time to thank our past and present donors; because of your generosity, the Washington County Community Foundation is growing and has more grant dollars going into our communities.
